Walter Rye

Walter Rye is a Dutch indie pop duo, by siblings Marlon and Thom Schotel. Influenced by artists like London Grammar, Eefje de Visser and Ben Howard, Walter Rye puts an emphasis on the lyrics and atmosphere of their music. Marlon's deeply warm voice, which at times reminds of spoken word, is accompanied by her brother's use of various instruments and ambient effects. Their first EP, Solstice, was made during the Covid lockdowns. While Marlon was stuck in Norway due to travel restrictions, the duo sent ideas and demos back and forth. When the world opens back up, they'll be ready to hit the stage and bring their music to life!
