Fans of Fortnite and Ariana Grande, rejoice! Epic Games have announced the pop star will be performing in the upcoming “Rift Tour” concert series. Get all the vital information here!

Although real-life music events are beginning to trickle their way back into our lives, virtual concerts are still advancing. The gaming and music world has seen collaborations drawing unfathomably large audiences, with as much attention to production sunk in as the real thing. A popular instance of this is the in-game Fortnite virtual concert series, the Rift Tour.

What Is the Rift Tour?

According to Fortnite, the Rift Tour is a “musical journey into magical new realities where Fortnite and a record-breaking superstar collide.” In this case, that record-breaking superstar is the one and only Ariana Grande.

Players can jump into this musical realm at select times and experience the event free of charge. So far, the finer details around this year’s Rift Tour remain fairly cryptic. However, we have been treated to a teaser trailer over on Fortnite’s Twitter.

How & When to Experience It

There will be five different showtimes across three days, between the 6th and 8th of August. These times cover America, Global, Asia/Oceania and EU/ME.

  • August 6, 6pm PT / 11pm BST – America
  • August 7, 2pm PT / 7pm BST – Global
  • August 8, 12am PT / 5am BST – Asia/Oceania
  • August 8, 10am PT / 3pm BST EU/ME
  • August 8, 6pm PT / 11pm BST America

As the concert takes place within the game, Fortnite developers have recommended players arrive a good 60 minutes before the show kicks off. They’ve also stated the Rift Tour playlist should be live 30 minutes before each show.

Players are being urged to travel through the virtual festival ground with friends, and they can visit RiftTour.com for details on scheduling and reminders.

In order to really get into the spirit of things, players can get their hands on some Rift Tour goodies. Quest items can be unlocked before, after and during the show, with a Cuddly Cloudcruiser umbrella handed out simply for attending the performance.
