Dune Release Date Has Been Pushed Back Again
Just one of the many films to be affected by the pandemic, Dune‘s release date has been delayed yet again. Find out when you can (hopefully) catch it.
Cinema is one of the areas that is still struggling to get back on its feet thanks to Covid-19. Sadly, sectors such as the arts, entertainment and live music have been left low on the list of priorities by many governments. As a result, lots of postponed films are holding off on release dates even longer.
Dune Release Date
Dune‘s original release date was slated for December 2020, leaping then to October 2021. Although this is still a way off, it has been moved again from the 1st October to the 22nd. This rescheduling move is one of a few made by Warner Bros. Others include Cry Macho and The Many Saints of Newark.
Dune is set to be released on HBO Max at the same time as it hits theatres. It is still scheduled to premiere at the Venice International Film Festival in September this year.
The adaptation of the 1965 sci-fi classic from Frank Herbert boasts a star-studded cast, including Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Isaac, Stellan Skarsgård, Zendaya, and Jason Momoa. It is to be the first of two movies, based on the original novel. The first film is set to cover the first half, and a second film will finish off the story.
With the Dune release date being delayed once more, you may want to think about investing in a decent home cinema set-up, to keep your cinema cravings satisfied. As Summer is pretty much upon us, why not go for the outdoor cinema experience?
Vaccinations and more and more test events taking place could mean that trips to the cinema will soon be as popular as they once were. We can but hope.
