The Raindance Film Festival is the largest indie film festival in the UK. Find out what courses are on offer as part of the Raindance Film School here!

Hosted in the buzzing West End film district of London, Raindance Film Festival champions everything wonderful about indie film. It is officially recognised by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences USA, the British Academy of Film and Television Arts and the British Independent Film Awards. With such credibility behind it, the Raindance Film School should be an attractive prospect for budding student filmmakers.

Why the Raindance Film School? The Raindance organisation was founded in 1992 by Elliot Grove. His thinking was, “can you make a film with no money, no training, and no experience?” The ethos around fostering and promoting independent film globally led to the organisation helping to provide that training and experience for filmmaking newbies. Impressive alumni include names such as Guy Ritchie, Edgar Wright and Christopher Nolan.

The courses span a multitude of disciplines throughout the film industry, from screenwriting to directing to editing to name just a few. Courses and masterclasses usually take place throughout the year and around the world, as well as online.
