WordPress announced a new feature yesterday in which you are able to post your blog article as a Twitter thread automatically – also known as Tweetstorms.

In July 2020 WordPress revealed a way to transform your Twitter posts into a blog, by selecting the Twitter Block, adding the URL and unrolling the content.

They’ve now offered the reverse of this, where you can create a blog post, and simultaneously post this on Twitter keeping each paragraph under 280 characters.

This works in conjunction with Jetpack, and here’s how to link them up

Step 1.

When you’ve created your article, click on the Jetpack icon that’s located on the far right of the header menu at the top of the page.

If you haven’t already, connect your Twitter account to allow WordPress to publish content to your Twitter feed.

Step 2.

Make sure you’ve got the right Twitter profile selected when you’re posting!

You have the option to customize your initial message, and then the option to post your article link as a single post, or unfurl your post as a Twitter thread.
