In order to monetize your YouTube channel and earn a passive income, some requirement must be met. Find out what they are right here!

YouTube channels must have 4,000 hours of watch time and 1000 subscribers in the past 12 months before you are eligible for monetization.

To apply for monetization with will need to create an Adsense account. and then apply to the YouTube Partner Programme.

The YouTube Partner Programme is available in certain territories that you can find here.

Once you get approved by YouTube you can then join a Multi Channel Network (MCN) or you can monetize your own content with Adsense.

If you do link your channel with a MCN, Adsense isn’t used and monetization is controlled by the MCN.
